Which schools should I apply to with financial aid request

Hi! I'm an international student with 2100 on SAT I. I want to apply for need-based financial aid and I know this will hurt my chance of getting in. So I was wondering which schools(schools below my SAT I score) will be better options for me?

What is the breakdown of your SAT?

What country are you from?

Your SAT is not high enough for strong consideration at the few schools that give FA to int’l students. Typically, only the top, elite universities give aid to int’ls. Are you retesting?

How much can your family pay each year? Keep in mind that the schools that give aid will look at your family’s income/assets to decide how much your parents should pay.

You may need to consider some lower-ranked schools that will give you merit for your stats.

You should read through everything, and I do indeed mean every single thing, at [EducationUSA | Study Abroad, Student Visa, University Fairs, College Applications and Study in the U.S. / America](http://www.educationusa.state.gov/) Then you need to make an appointment with the counselors at the advising center closest to you. They are the experts at helping students from your country find good places to study in the US. They will be able to tell you where students with your profile have been admitted in the past few years and whether or not those students have received any financial aid.

You also should contact the consulates of any other country you would like to study in such as Canada and Australia, and ask to speak with the Education Officer. That person can help you find out about educational opportunities in his/her country.

Wishing you all the best.
