Which Schools Should I Apply To?

I am looking to study engineering in college. Here are my stats:

GPA: 3.06 unweighted, 3.80 Weighted
Senior Year GPA (so far): 3.71
SAT: 2020/2400
ACT: 34/36

I just found out that I got a 34/36 on the ACT with a 35 on English and Math, a 34 on Reading, and a 33 on Science. That was a lot better than I had thought and probably better than the SAT. Currently my list of schools is:

Reach: Northeastern University, Clemson University,
Match: University Of Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech, NC State, New Mexico Institute Of Mining & Technology
Safety: Purdue University, University Of Massachusetts-Amherst, Texas A&M University

Should I apply to harder schools or have a few extra safeties as my guidance counselor said before my ACT scores came out? If so, what schools do you suggest?

Where do you live? Do any of your home state public universities have decent engineering programs? If so, with your test scores, that would probably be your cheapest safety.

How much money do you have? Do you need financial aid? You need to sort the money issue out before you make your final list.

I thought I already posted to this thread. Anyways I would say you should apply to two reaches. I would say Rice University Owls and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

bump…
