Which schools take the best from each section?

<p>Just out of curiosity, which schools take the best from each section, and which notable schools only take the best in one sitting? </p>

<p>Do colleges consider someone who did better in one sitting over someone who took the best from each section?</p>

<p>Every single school that I have looked into or visited (30ish of the top schools in the country) say that they take the best from each section. I think it's what they are almost all doing now.</p>

<p>What about state schools such as Penn State, UMichigan, Wisconsin-Madison, Illinois-Urbana Champaign, etc...</p>

<p>I don't know about the other ones, but for this year, at least, you have to submit the math and verbal scores from the same sitting for the UCs. (same for ACT as well.)</p>
