Hello, I’ma senior in high school and I’m getting really stressed out about applications and everything. The thing is, I don’t want to waste money applying somewhere I won’t be accepted to.

My GPA is only 3.34 and that worries me, I feel like that’s not good enough to get in anywhere worth while. My ACT isn’t much better, it’s a 24.

My first choice in schools is USF, will I be able to get in there? Or are there any other schools I’m likely to be accepted?
Thank you :)

There are no guarantees being accepted to any college. Check the below link for USF admission matrix for a guideline of your chances. Chances are you may be deferred for an admission decision initially at USF until they see your fall semester grades and any new test scores. The best way for you to improve your chances for admission are getting A’s in your school work this fall and getting higher test scores. Apply asap, don’t wait any longer; USF’s application is easy to complete and doesn’t even require an essay. Apply to at least 4 or 5 colleges. If you don’t have money for application fees because your family is low income (like if you are eligible for free school lunch), ask your high school guidance counselor for fee waiver forms for your college applications and to take ACT and SAT tests again without charge. Good luck!
