Which science major should I choose?

Hi! I'm a high school senior. girl..... in this turbulent period of confusion and chaos... echhh

Anyways, getting straight to my question: I'm trying to do common apps right now and schools are asking me which major i am most likely to major in at their college. I looked at common app for Yale, and it didnt have biology...

and anyways, im not even that sure I want to do general, literally, biology... maybe something more specific, less broad.

So i was wondering if u guys could give me some info on which sci major might suit me best. Im definitely not a computer science person. I want to do science but i dont want to spend all my time in a lab; i want to go out and do some hands on experience as well, whether that be in a hospital or in "nature." and im also pretty interested in global warming&preserving the earth. but as much as i am interested in the environment, i also really like biology; cells, human physiology, DNA, genetics... all the stuff i learned in HS for bio (which really wasnt all that much)

i dont think i will go to med school (international student;too expensive), but im still leaving the door open

i was maybe thinking of biomedical engineering... but i heard its one of the toughest courses... and I want a challenging major but i dont want to DIE....

Thanks!!

Biochemistry seems to me like a great major for you!

The only science major I could honestly recommend would be computer science. Most of the natural and physical sciences have absolutely abominable employment prospects.

Actually, this is not true. Physics and Applied Mathematics (it is often found in Colleges of Science) have relatively good job prospects in many different industries. Granted a physics major may not be doing physics as a career but jobs are there.
