I am currently a sophomore taking Honors Chemistry and self studying AP Biology. Next year, I don't want to take AP Chemistry because this year, my teacher is not that great at teaching and I don't feel prepared enough to take AP Chem. But I also don't want to take AP Psychology because I want to self study that one and I don't want to take Physics because I want an AP class. (But I can't get AP Physics since I need to have taken Calculus)
What science class should I take next year?
Thank you. :)

I self studied AP bio in 10th grade and took AP chem in 11th without ever doing chem before and did fine, so if you work hard that should be ok. If not, you could try AP Environmental science (self study or class). I would say AP chem or env. science.

You don’t need Calc for Physics B.

My recommendation is to take the class for the exam that you like the most and you are SURE to do well on (same for self-studying, btw). I know people that went for self-studying to try to boast to colleges and got slapped on the face with a 3 or a 4.

I don’t know the types of colleges you are going after, but remember this. Thousands of people get 5’s on every exam. Getting a 4 or a 3 isn’t impressive at all in that sense.
