Which score is better ACT vs SAT?

Hi I was wondering which score is better, or should I send both to colleges

ACT: composite 34, English 35 math 35 reading 34 science 33 essay 25 ELA 31 stem 34

OR

SAT highest single take: CR 670 M 800 W 790, total 2260
SAT Super score: CR 720 M 800 W 790, total 2310

Thank you!!!

ACT your reading score is much higher

Thanks! In that case is it a better idea to send both scores? I looked at some conversion charts and it seems my sat is a little higher than my act but some of my act sub scores are better.

Also, is it a good idea to ask for an essay rescore in that case or do colleges know the grading is still messed up with the new system?

Thanks for the feedback! I know most colleges do superscore, is a 34 act reading significantly better than a 720 sat cr

When colleges superscore, they are “rebuilding” a total or composite score. They don’t compare individual sections such as 34 reading vs 720 cr. So the correct comparison is between your 2310 and your 34. You SAT score is a little better, but they are pretty close. You should check out the superscoring policies of individual colleges, because “most” doesn’t necessarily to the colleges you want to go to. Still, your scores are not so different that it is likely to tip a decision one way or the other.

What possible major, what possible colleges? That matters. And for the most competitive, yes, they will look at CR/M and ACT subscores, not simply composite or the SAT total.

Both scores are great. I would just send both SATs and ACTs to Unis and let them superscore as they choose.

Unless cost of sending is prohibitive for you, send both. If you send both SAT and ACT, the college will use for admission that test, SAT or ACT, it believes is better for you, so let it decide whether your SAT or ACT is higher.
