Which score is better?

My neighbor’s D has recently received her ACT test scores.

I can’t tell which is better, so hoping you all would give me the advice to tell them.

Her SAT score: CR- 630, M- 650, W- 570 Total 1280/1850
Her ACT score: E-28, M- 28, R- 28 and S- 29 Composite: 28

I thought 1280 is better then a 28, but thought that a 28 in E is better then a 570 in W.

So I don’t know what to tell them.

The ACT site estimates that a 28 is equivalent to an 1880, so it’s slightly better than the 1850. Given that the CR+M score on the SAT is slightly better, and some schools may focus on that subscore more, it’s really a wash. I would report both scores, as they are roughly the same.
