Which score should I send?!?!!

They're not great-I took them in 2010 as a senior, but I can't take them again. I'm applying as a transfer to TX State, Sam Houston and Stephen F Austin. It costs more to send SAT scores.

ACT Composite Score :19

English: 21

Mathematics: 15

Reading: 23

Science: 17

Combined English/Writing: 20
Writing (score range 2 to 12): 07

SAT Composite: 1250

Reading: 470

Math: 360

Writing: 420

Reading & Math scores: 830

In my essay section of the app I was told to describe a challenge or obstacle I've faced and how I overcame it. I wrote about struggles in school/math which is evident in my SAT/ACT scores. I have gotten better as I'm in college I've scored a B in the spring 2012 semester and looking at a B this semester for all my courses including math. At the end of the semester I'm looking at a 3.0-3.5 gpa

Bazinga. Wow. Sorry if I come out as an *******, but those scores aren’t… Great… It really sucks that you can’t take the SAT again… Is there really no way to show that you improved since then?
It’s hard to compare because both scores are relatively low. Usually when I enter threads like this, I expect to see a 35 vs. a 2100 and the answer is pretty obvious. Although here… I think you should submit your ACT. Just because it looks better than 830 SAT. That’s my take.
What about the GRE though? Can’t you take that?

No I can’t take the GRE test. I was an A/B student in HS, now that I’m in college in more of a B student. I never do well on standardized test-especially math.

The only way to show I’ve gotten better, is if they focus mainly on my HS/College transcripts-my grades are pretty good. As well as my essay.

I’ve had a counselor, school employee I’ve worked for and a former teacher write recommendation letters-I’m hoping that also helps me.

If you are applying as a transfer, I would think your college grades are more important than ACT/SAT scores. B average is good. You should ask the admission about your situation. You are applying for transfer, so standard might a bit different.

^^ I thought so. I was 17 when I took the tests. 20 now, I’ve gotten better at my studies. I’ve always scored at the top of my classes(then and now) so I’d hate 2 tests might hinder my being able to transfer.

I’ve taken placement tests-scored above average in everything except math-but I’ve passed/passing my math classes with A’s in all of my homework assignments and tests.

I’m going to speak w/ the counselor and the admissions counselor at the schools I plan to transfer to Tuesday. So hopefully they’ll allow me to send in the placement scores. As well as understand my situation and take into consideration the tutoring services I’ve taken advantage of
