Which should I ask for a rec letter?

Hi guys,

So here are the 2 teachers I'm debating between for my 2nd rec letter (1st is for sure from AP math this year):

Teacher A:

Junior year AP History teacher. Generally a nice person, I do not participate much in class or do an outstanding job on tests, but he seems to think that I am a hard worker/responsible. I participated in a competition that he was the advisor for, but about half of his students did. I know he writes many letters a year and will be pretty overwhelmed.

Teacher B:

Sophomore year teacher (not an advanced/honors course). We do still talk sometimes in the hallway, she knows my personality pretty well and I participated a lot in her class. She was impressed that I actually cared about the subject she taught and pursued it outside of school, unlike most of the students she had. She writes few letters a year.

Obviously, if teacher B had taught a more rigorous course I would pick her, but many people have told me that choosing a sophomore teacher is a bad idea. Who would you choose?
