Good night everyone, today I got all my admissions offers from my colleges, however, I’m still having problems making the final decision on which to accept. My options are -:
Baylor U
U. Of Rochester
U. of Richmond
U Miami
Villanova U
Emory U
Northeastern
It would be good to note, that I am interested in college basketball and do intend to pursue it but it isn’t something so important to make the final decision based upon. And each school has offered roughly the same financial aid and grants, so it’s not a question of which would cost the least, but which college is right. I’m a biochemistry pre-med major, and any opinions and advice would be greatly appreciated.
One could argue that Emory is the most prestigious on your list. I’m personally partial to Rochester because that’s where I’ll probably be attending in the fall. I know that Baylor is supposed to be really big on sports, so that might be a good option, too.
Have you visited all of them? Personally, I would never attend a college which I had not visited. You might be surprised at what you might learn simply by walking around a campus – things which cannot be learned through a website.
You are at the point where you should consider loosening your rational decision making and look into your heart. Which one appeals most to you? Assuming you visited, which one made you feel best? Forget the rankings, and only consider prestige if prestige matters to you; it sure doesn’t matter to medical schools.
