Hey guys, I'm wondering which application process would give me the better odds of being accepted into UChicago... I have a 3.55 UW and could definitely bump it up a few points my senior year. Therefore, should I wait to apply to regular decision so I have some time to look better on paper?

If applying RD will help you look better on paper, then yes, wait until then.

But 3.55… that would worry me.

Worries me a little too. Wont stop me from trying though! Of course, my gpa isnt my only “selling point”. ;)

Apply EA. If they think you need a higher GPA, they will just defer you to regular decision. Even if you get a 4.0 first semester, your GPA will still be under 3.7, which is under average for UChicago acceptance. Good luck, but applying EA is always better because it could relieve some stress in some situations.

Thanks so much. Ill be up there all next month. Anything you suggest about what I should/shouldn’t do in my interview, tour, ect?

There really isn’t ever a clear disadvantage to EA
