Which should I self study?

I was wondering which ap i should self study next year (I only want to do one)... ap bio (is it really as hard as people say) or ap english lit. Im taking ap english lang at school next year so would lit be good because (I think) they are similar? which one is easier to just grab a review book like a month before and study it? need opinions. :)

English, if you're already good at it, would be way easier to teach yourself than biology. All you have to do for English is know the format of the test, read a few books in preparation for question 3, and practice reading poetry and stuff.

You can't really study it, you sort of just have to be good at it.

There's a lot of crap you have to memorize for biology though. So unless you like or are interesting in biology, stick with English.

ap bio is pretty easy to self study, but its not a good idea to start a month before the test.

I haven't taken ap lit.

what are you interested in/curious about?

ok so if i do start studying for ap bio, then would a review book be enough? because i heard its a pretty difficult test.

btw, are there any other aps that i could self study other than stats, psych, and enviro?cause ive taken those already.

you'llsee..., im curious about if ap bio is easy as self studyable ap and if i should by a textbook or if i should just get a review book (barrons) and study it.

thanks UnleashedFury, ill consider that. however, only 12th graders can take english lit. im taking english lang. next year so we'll see how that goes. :)

anyone have other self studyable aps?

Psychology, Statistics, Economics, Human Geo, and Enviro Sci are good ones.

barrons is a very good review book for ap bio. You can just study off of that (without a textbook) and youll do great :)

It'sGr82BeAGator , thanks. i took everything but economics and stats from your list. economics sounds interesting. which is easier: macro or micro?

ftc123, thank you i will keep that in mind. :)

macro is usually easier than micro.

AP bio is pretty easy. I took regular bio and took the AP bio exam this year idk what I got hopefully 4+, but i think i did pretty well?
cross fingers

^hopefully u did well too. :) did you self study it?

any other easy aps (besides psych and enviro) not mentioned?

thanks guys!

haha Yep I did.
What happened was that i took regular bio last year and took SAT II bio and had to study a whole buncha crap for that.
For Ap Bio on the other hand THIS year ( without looking back at bio for a whole year ) i studied probably a week prior and the whole night prior ( big procrastinator) and i thought the test was easy. Probably screwed up some yes, but the curve is lenient and I'm expecting a definite 4 and maybe a 5.
So if you do self study! good luck! it's not that bad..just alot of memorizing

You don't actually need to prepare for the English Literature AP: it comes with experience and the uncanny ability to BS!

Psychology and Environmental Science are two APs that are commonly self-studied.

thanks for the answers guys, one more question i know there are a lot of posts about this, but should i just study with the review books, and if i do, should it be with cliffs (i heard its best for bio), barrons, princeton, or 5 steps to a 5? Ive only used barrons so far and its amazing....very useful. but any advice on this? i want to get a good score! :)
