Which should I take: SAT I or SAT II?

My scores are not great for both SAT I and II. My last chance for SAT is in December. I've taken SAT I twice already, and I got about 1600 on the first try. Second one hasn't been scored yet and it wasn't the best either. For SAT II, I've only take it once and its about a 600 for both Math 2 and Chem. Which SAT test would be the better choice to take in December?

What colleges/universities are you applying to?
A higher SAT I will definitely look better, but if you feel like you’ve raised the score as high as you can go, then go for the SAT IIs. Study for them more and see how you do.

UCs such as LA, Berkeley, and Davis. I think i could do better in SAT I, but then my SAT II scores will still be lacking.

In the college admission process the SAT I scores will always be weighted far more than SAT II. If you truly believe your SAT I Scores will be bad again, I suggest you retake the SAT I this time study more. However, your sat subject test scores are pretty low also.

I am kind of in the same situation as the OP. I took the SAT’s twice. Got an 1850 on the first try, but I haven’t received the scores for the one I took the second time. I kind of feel that I did much better, but I’ll still have to see.

As for my SAT Subject Test scores, I got a 610 in the Literature, 630 in the Mat Level II, and 660 in the U.S. History. So I am also kind of wondering whether to retake SAT’s or SAT Subject…

I am applying to the same UC’s as the OP, and a couple of Ivy Leagues such as Yale and Princeton.

Wow. You guys are lucky. My son has a 2150 on the SATI, but can’t crack a 600 on the SAT II’s (which he has taken twice).
