<p>Ugh. These two lines say it all: “i want to do something over the summer so that the colleges that im going to apply are going to be impressed” and “I really have to pick one that sounds the best to the admission officers.”</p>
<p>I know that you stated at the end that you are interested in both, but to make the final decision you are deferring your power, and I am not even sure just how interested you are in either based on the second of the above statements. Do not pick a summer program because of how colleges might view it, but rather choose the one that you are most interested in doing. </p>
<p>And really, THIS is the real truth, you CAN just solely follow your own interests. I did throughout high school, and I got accepted into a few top schools.</p>
