<p>So I signed up for SPOP 1, but later realized it was gonna be on my sister's birthday. So I waitlisted myself for all the other ones, and finally got an accommodation for SPOP 5.</p>
<p>But I can't decide which one to go to. Will SPOP 5 be so late as to greatly affect my schedule for first quarter, or should I be all right just attending it instead of getting first pick at SPOP 1?</p>

<p>I went to my year’s last SPOP and I wasn’t greatly affected. There are a bunch of options for you to take at this point and some classes become freshmen-only registrations. No matter what, you’ll get a schedule you’ll like because there are so many classes you can take (even though a lot of the sociology courses are getting cut this year thanks to the budget cuts).</p>
<p>SPOP 1. Even if it might work out “just fine” going to SPOP 5, going to SPOP 1 gives you a way better chance at having a good schedule.
Birthday party… first year of college… I think college is the priority here</p>

<p>i recommend spop 1 as well. but it really depends on the classes you want/need and how much availability there is right now before spop begins.</p>
<p>is it possible your sister would like to celebrate the day after? you can leave early for emergency purposes on day 2</p>
