Which SSAT Practice Books Do You Recommend?

I’m taking it in the future- thank you.

You might have heard this before, but I genuinely believe that you can’t go wrong with The Official SSAT Guide.

It has two practice tests, scoring explanations, advice, and tons (I mean TONS) of prep! It comes in Upper Level, Middle Level, and Elementary Level Grades 3 & 4 - the Elementary Levels are 100% free for download.

Because it’s the only test booklet actually distributed by the makers of the SSAT, it’s probably going to be the closest to the actual test.

Here are the prices:

The Upper Level:
Regular Mail - Domestic - $37
Regular Mail - International - $54
Fedex - Domestic - $70
Fedex - International - $85

The Middle Level:
Regular Mail - Domestic - $37
Regular Mail - International - $54
Fedex - Domestic - $70
Fedex - International - $85

Because I’m new to this forum, I’m not sure if posting direct links is acceptable under the rules, so for that reason I will not provide it in the comment.

You can, however, find the workbooks for sale on the SSAT website!

Hope this helps.

(-:

We just used the small booklet from the SSAT people…

The SSAT book was OK, but it also gave me the piece of mind knowing that I was reading something issued by the actual test people.
The Princeton Review Cracking the SSAT was amazing for me. I can’t explain it but the way it’s organized and divided and its contents is just great.

Two study guides should be enough (if you want more Kaplan’s was good too) but for extra practice the Princeton Review 900 questions book is great for the extra practice without lengthy explanations and what not.

Good Luck!!!
