Hey guys, I'm an incoming junior and wanted to ask which standardized tests should I take to be deemed an excellent applicant if I plan to apply to the following colleges:

UPenn (Wharton)

UChicago

NYU

UT-Austin

UC-Berkeley

Currently, I'm thinking that I should the ACT, and 2 SAT subject tests, (Math Level 2, and Physics).

Would those be enough if I get at least 35 on the ACT and 800 on both subject tests (ambitious but there is a large curve..)?!?!?!?

I would appreciate everyone's input! :)

If you truly want to be safe, aim for a 34 on the ACT. Try to get high scores in the sub sections that relate to your course of study.
I think for those schools, you should aim for 800 on math II and 760 or better on physics. Good luck

@noel597 would just taking these tests be enough or should I also do the SAT and 1 more subject test?

Try some practice tests on SAT and ACT over the Summer to see which one is better for you. My D took both as it was not clear which one is more favorable for her in the practice tests. At the end, she did better in ACT. SAT2 requirement depends on the school. In general, 2 is sufficient but certain subjects may be prefered.
