Which states do you feel offer the best 'high school' education?

I'd give it to Indiana and California.

Which states do you feel offer the best 'high school' education?

I'd give it to Indiana and California.

Virginia, especially NOVA

do you mean public high schools?

the east coast schools...i know new jersey spends the most per student but cali spends almost the least.

i agree with starry, new jersey is def. highly regarded for its public education system, but um on a side note, states such as california start school in like august, so they have a lot more time to study for AP exams..that has been a big issure here in new jersey..

We offer the best high school education in California? Blasphemy! It's probably Massachusetts and Delaware.

As an aside, our school year starts in July (at my school) and we have perfect timing for AP exams (1 week of free-study before the AP exams, since Spring semester ends in late April), but I hardly call that an advantage..

New jersey is supposed to be the best for public schools, i think. my school sux tho.

Arkansas.

I'm just kidding, I meant Mississippi.

Massachusetts.
1.) It has some of the best prep schools.
2.) Depending on where you live, the public schools are really good.
3.) It has a nice intellectual feel to it. You can go to Boston, visit the Museum of Science and the Museum of Fine arts, and walk around Harvard Square for some good entertainment and cheap fast food, after researching a paper in the libraries of local universities and attending a performance by the Boston POPS.

Maryland and Massachusetts have had the highest National Merit Semifinalist cutoffs for the past few years...other than that, I don't know.

New Jersey for certain

um, let's see, not Alabama!

oh definately Texas, my geography teacher told the class that the dodo still existed, and on top of that I was the only one who refused to actually write it down in my notebook. I never took academic social studies again, AP classes never tell you that the dodo exists

I guess depending on where you live, CT got some nice schools (at least I hope so since we moved out of New Jersey with that assumption).

new mexico?? oh wait, u said the BEST education, my bad...

Fairfax County, Virginia.

Every school in the county offers either IB or AP program,
and they.. just offer the best education one can get. It's free too :)
58% of their budget is spent SORELY on education.

North Carolina offers a good high school education, at least in comparison to the other southern states. :)

Georgia and Florida have more respect for the IB program, though.

New Jersey POWER!!!!!!!!!

ohio rocks too!
