Which Subject score to send? Please help me dedide

Chemistry - 730 taken after 10th grade
Physics - 730 taken after 11th grade

I have a 800 in Math, so which of the above two should I send? thanks

You have to send them all to Yale unless you are only going to send the ACT

splat11, he meant that he has an 800 in either the math I or math II subject test and wants advice as to what to send, either chemistry or physics to Yale along with the math test

the OP wrote the post poorly, but i think that’s what he meant anyways.

why not send all of them? I can’t see it negatively affecting you

sorry for the confusion. Yes i got an 800 on the Math II. I will send this score as one of the two i have to send. So my question is, between chemistry and physics which one should i send. Would the chemistry score look better since i took it in 10th grade? thanks…

I didn’t know you had to send specific SAT IIs… why not just send them both? They’re both good scores, so I would just send all of them, instead of picking and choosing. But if i’m mistaken and you have to select one of them to send, then I would tell you to go look at your scores on collegeboard and see which one had the higher percentile, and send that one! I don’t think it matters that you took chemistry in 10th grade personally and I would just go off the percentile.

The OP has no choice to make: Y does NOT accept score choice, so when SATs are submitted, ALL SAT Is and SAT IIs are sent.

You have no choice.

They’re both good scores, so it doesn’t matter anyway.

just send both, yale doesnt accept score choice anyways. youll be more than fine.

thanks for the input everybody. I have decided to send my Math II and Chemistry subject tests.

Also, just for clarification:
My understanding about Yale not accepting score choice is that if you take the same test multiple times they need all the scores pertaining to that test. So multiple SAT Is need to be reported. Similarly, say I took Math II twice, then they need both the scores. However if I took 4 different subject SATs (each only once) they only need two of those. I got this reply from the Yale help e-mail (one of the current Yale students replied).

It doesn’t get much more straight forward than this, and multiple times to boot:

[Instructions for Reporting Your Scores | Application to Yale College | Freshmen | Office of Undergraduate Admissions](http://www.yale.edu/admit/freshmen/application/score_reporting.html)

AND

AND

AND finally:

with due respects, I think the Yale web-site information is confusing and maybe needs to be clearer. I still feel that when they say all SAT IIs they mean all multiple retakes of each of the SAT IIs that you submit for consideration (i.e. to fulfill the two SAT II requirement)and not all the separate SAT IIs that you have taken (e.g. once each of say math, physics, english, chem, history, etc.). below is the excerpt of the communication I had, using their help e-mail. I might call them up and get a clarification.

Subject: Subject SAT score reporting
Hi,
If I take 3 subject SAT’s (once each), do I have to report all the 3 scores or just any two to fulfill the requirements of YALE for SCEA.
thanks

Hello,

You are only required to report two SAT II test scores, you may report more if you desire, but it is not necessary.

Just got off the phone talking to a Yale admissions officer. All SAT II scores need to be sent i.e if 2 tests are taken send all instances of taking those 2, if 3 SAT IIs are taken then send all instances of taking those 3 and so forth.

so case closed so far as I am concerned. Thanks to all those who replied.
