I'm an international student. I have just taken the SAT 2 Physics and Maths 2, that went well. However, I'm planning to take 1-2 more. I think I may take Chemistry and/or History.

I'm quite good at Chemistry, and I tried answering a practice test on Sparknotes ( without revising) , and got 680. Is it possible that I may get a high score on the Chemistry test without spending too much time revising?

But I am still wondering if I should take Chemistry only or History only or both. I'm not good at History, and know pretty much nothing about US History. My grades at school already say that I'm good at Chemistry and not so good at History, and I think it would be nice if I get decent score on the SAT to make up.
Please help me, I need to decide it fast so that I can start studying, or it will be late. Thank you for reading this.

Go with your best subject.

If Chemistry is your forte, then you should have little difficulty with the Chemistry SAT Subject Test. Tests on Sparknotes are generally harder than the real thing, so a 680 on the SN test will probably net you a 700+ on the real thing, although that is never a guarantee.

If you aren’t versed in history, then it is best to leave that test alone. Oftentimes, the History tests are very difficult in that they require you to have very extensive knowledge of history (CB loves to nitpick specifics). If you aren’t a history whiz, then you probably won’t do very well on the history exams, although it doesn’t hurt to look. When taking the Subject Tests, skim over to the history tests to see if you can handle the material. If it looks like you have a good shot at it, then go for it, otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend taking an exam you aren’t ready for.

You won’t do well with history if you don’t like it / aren’t good at it. Take chem.
