Which subjects test do you recommend I take?

I am unsure of which subject tests to take, and whether the classes I am in will be sufficient.

As a Freshman I took the SAT II Biology - M and got a 740.

As a Sophomore I am in Honors Chemistry, English 10, AP European History, Algebra II, and Spanish II. I plan to take the SAT II Chemistry this June.

As a Junior I plan to take IB Physics SL, IB English HL, IB History HL, IB Mathematics SL (pre-calc), and IB Spanish SL.

I am usually stronger in Science than say History, but am not sure how I would do on the SAT II math. On the PSAT, I got a 620 on the Math section.

Which SAT II tests would correspond with the classes I'm taking?

Grades for 1st Semester Sophomore Year:
Honors Chemistry A
English 10 A
AP European History A
Algebra II A
Spanish III A+

Bump, please!

The answer depends in part on the colleges you are considering and what you’d like to study. Some colleges don’t require SAT subject tests. Some specify that one should be Math II. I suggest that you choose a few colleges that interest you at the moment (even though they will probably change as you visit colleges) and look at their websites to see their requirements.

It is a good idea to take the SAT II Chem test now as you’ve just taken the course, but you will have plenty of time to take additional subject tests as a junior if you’d like.

I would like to spread out the tests so I don’t have like 3 in May/June of Junior Year. Is it better to take Math I or Math II?

you wouldn’t be able to take math 2 as a sophomore in algebra 2 because it covers material from trigonometry/precalculus

Math 2 would be as a junior after IB Math SL.

bump, please
