which summer program would you choose.

which one is the best, in terms of most challenging and most selective?

-mit wtp
-ssp @ new mexico or cali
-clark scholars texas tech
-carnegie mellon summer for diversity sams or AP/EA
-HSHSP @ mich state uni.
-LBW @ wharton

There's a summer program forum.

When you say choose, are you assuming that you'll get into all of them? Just apply and then see what you actually get into, then ask. All of the ones I know (Carnagie Mellon, Clark Scholars, SSP, and MIT) are really really competitive.

lol, yeah i'm not assuming anything, but hypothetically if I could choose which one should I go to? They're all very science-related, except for LBW, which is business and I'm also very interested in that. So which one is more challenging?

and nobody answers questions on the summer program forum; i've probalby made like 15 threads there and got like 2 responses

The one that CC'ers have not reccommended.

well the only one that I haven't found lurking around CC, but have found thru google is HSHSP.

and CMU, i guess, since i knew about it before i came on to CC

NBTC: Research Areas

One I've heard is great. Competitive though is what I hear. You'll probably find more info on it on CC

haha beefs why do you not recommend the summer programs recommended by CCers?

Isn't it self-contradictory to recommend not listening to CCers if you are a CCer

No. Maybe I shouldve said "Don't listen to me".

LBW (10char)

if you haven't thought of doing it already, you should consider applying to a good math program (HCSSiM, Mathcamp, Ross, ...). they are amazing and change lives and it is why i am a math major. <3
