Which SUNY schools are for me?

Hey, I'm new to the forums here, so please correct me If I am out of line,

I do not want to go into any details about this right now, but I have a scholarship for free tuition to any public school in VT, and I just found out it also covers NY schools, So I just started to look at the SUNY Schools. I would like to major and get a masters(or masters in my final choice in major) in Business, with my second choice being Computer Programing, and third Human services. If possible I would like a school that's strong in at least Business and Computer Programing, if I decide to switch majors, or want to Major/Minor, ect. I need mostly advice on schools in NYS, and schools I have overlooked in VT. I have been looking at UVM, and Castleton in VT, and nothing yet in NYS.

My Information:
GPA: Junior Year ~3.5
SAT Math: 640
SAT Reading: 550
Essay: I am not the strongest essay writer, and do not have a solid essay completed yet.
EC: President of the Spanish Club, FBLA, Tresuere/secretary of Key Club, CFES, summer job at the ARC.

AP classes taken/will take: AP US History, AP Statistics, AP English 11 (possibly 12)

I have also taken/will take: Java/Robotics, Physics, Spanish(1&2), Pre-Calc, a few business classes.

Stony Brook is probably the SUNY with the highest reputation for CS.

Is that your cum GPA? Unweighted? What about your writing SAT? I agree SB probably is best for CS. Buffalo may also have a good CS program and, I believe has a good business program. Binghamton has a good business program.

Thank you both for your input,

I have not contacted my guidance counselor too much about the matter yet, but I calculated my GPA by averaging my grades(besides the classes like P.E of course), dividing by 100, than multiplying by 4. I’m kinda shaky on how exactly it works… so correct me if I am wrong!

My writing SAT was pretty low compared to my other scores, it was a 450…

SUNY Geneseo is in my opinion the best SUNY. I’m not sure how good they are at computer science though

My main focus is business  Computer science is just if I change my mind

Binghamton, Geneseo, and Stony Brook all seem like good fits.

Is the scholarship just for the SUNY system, or does it cover CUNY schools as well? If so, you might want to check out CUNY Baruch’s business program.

The scholarship covers all public NY and VT schools, and private schools up to the state public rate.

You have to have at least a 1200 SAT to even be considered at Geneseo. We just had a recruited athlete, top ten in class who had to get an 1180 for her coach to get her in. I think their average SAT of last years class was 1350??

Geneseo cut their CS department…
