I really really really want to go to Stony Brook . . my essay is strong and my points for going to Stony Brook for the CommonApp (in my opinion) are strong.

However, what are options for me?

You should deffinitly apply to Stony Brook, Buffalo, Albany, and Binghamton(as a reach). These are the higher tiered science schools.

I'm not too interested in Binghamton and Buffalo is too far away. I am applying to Albany and I would really like to go to Stony Brook. My college essay is very good (in my opinion and my English teachers opinion) and I even visited the campus and got an extensive feel around the area. I would really like to go but if the minimum is only 1150, I am JUST on the borderline and it fears me every night!
What is good about Albany in terms of Biology.

Also look into the biology dept at New Paltz. State University of New York at New Paltz: Biology Department - Programs

as you are interested in bio, did you check out SUNY ESF (environmental science and forestry). It's one of those quirky SUNY programs. Though it is SUNY, it's housed at Syracuse U. So if being part of the syracuse U community interests you, you might want to check it out.
I have to admit, I do not know anyone who has gone through the program, but checking out the website, the program seems interesting-
