I score rather low on the PSAT and I was wondering will it actually be similar to my SAT score? Where your scores similar, if not by how much did they differ?

PSAT is easier because there is no subjective b u l l s h i t, aka the essay. Its also shorter so you don’t burn out. PSAT has harsher curves though due to less questions. 212 psat vs 2040 january sat for me. Next saturday i better break 2150.

I don’t know if there is one that is definitively “easier”, but i got 60 points higher on my SAT than my PSAT scored predicted if you multiplied it by 10.

It really depends. For me, my SAT score was way higher than my PSAT score
I took my first SAT in November Junior year, which was, as I remember, about two weeks after the PSAT. (I actually got the SAT result before the PSAT result)

Junior year PSAT: 207
Junior year NOV SAT (taken two weeks after) : 2230
Junior year JAN SAT (2 months after, without studying) : 2300

So basically I went from 207 PSAT to 2230 SAT without studying in two weeks, and then to 2300 SAT in the next two months, also without studying

Keep in mind I thought I did ok on both the PSAT and the SAT before the scores came out.
So yeah. I guess PSAT was harder than SAT for me

Oooh and also keep in mind that I only got 8/12 on the essay section for both SAT tests, so it wasnt the writing section that brought up my score

They’re basically the same.

The SAT is longer than the PSAT and supposedly the questions are a little harder than the PSAT questions. Already, mentioned, the PSAT will have a harsher scale due to the fact that it has fewer questions than the SAT. The SAT also has the essay, which requires a little more creative thinking than the rest of the test. If your PSAT score is “low” ( a low score is different for each person), your best bet is to study, know what you did incorrectly, and know what to look for on the SAT.

PSAT is easier especially for math.

Not in my experience, though, I grant, my sample size is limited.

Its hard to say,

I think they are about the same: I scored higher on the SAT , but I also took the SAT later in my life, when i had clearly developed more skills than I had sophomore year (sophomore year PSAT senior year SAT)

so, thus I believe they are about the same difficulty

PSAT is meant to be easier. Problems are supposedly more difficult and endurance isn’t as big a factor. Writing is especially harder on the SAT because of the essay.

If the PSAT is any indication of SAT scores, I’m genuinely ****ed. :

psat has a super ****ty curve

PSAT math is easier (confirmed). Harsh curves on PSAT though.
