I'm going to be a junior. In June I wanted to sign up for World History but was too late, so I'm not going to bother with that test anymore :P

I think I might take Math 1 in October. I also plan on taking US History in June right after the AP test and Regent, maybe Math 2 around that time, and then English and Japanese as late as I can in senior year before I apply to colleges.

Is it worth taking Math 1? Suggestions on my plans? Thanks :D

Also, if a school I’m applying to doesn’t require them, or even suggest taking them, should I bother to take them at all? They would still give me better chances, right?

If you’re going to end up taking Math 2, taking Math 1 would be a waste of time. US History/Math 2 and then English/Japanese would probably be fine. You should consider adding or replacing one with a science just to round out your application. Taking Subject Tests will better your chances as long as your scores are good. Many colleges do require them, so if you end up liking one of these colleges you will have the Subject Tests to send.
