Which tests should I take?

I'm a junior this year, and I'm planning to take 2 SAT IIs this year and the math year 2 (is that what's it called?) in the beginning of next year as a senior.

Im' taking Chem, US history, English Lit, Math Analysis this year.

What are two good SAT II subjects to take? Two that are... easy to study with depending on what type of studying you are doing, and two that are considered more heavily by admissions officer than other subjects. Like how Chem is weighed much more heavily than Psychology.

First of all, psych isn’t a SAT II. You’re probably thinking of the AP test.

If you’re interested in the sciences I’d recommend taking chem, but definitely put aside time to study for it. Literature is sort of like the SAT I CR sections, so if you’re good at that (and like to read) you might want to take it. US History is a lot of memorization so it’s easy enough to study, but it just depends on how interested you are in history.

Take Math II. Easy 800.

Kestrel: Whoops oh yeah psych is AP test. I do pretty well in CR passages (above 700s) in SAT I, so I think that’s a good idea for the first one.

I hear, from one of those really good posts that everybody likes, Chem is not a good subject to self-study because it’s extremely difficult. And then I hear people say self study but do it well. What’s the deal with this?

Samonuh: Are you naturally good at math? Or did you study for it?

And does anybody know if colleges look at SAT IIs in the latter part of Senior year? I mean, if you send the scores and stuff after you sent in your application?

Math II is considered easy because of the generous curve. Assuming you know what your doing for most of it, you can still miss several problems and get 800.
