Which textbook is used for Math 16A?

According to the Department of Mathematics homepage, the text needed for Math 16A is "Goldstein, Lay and Schneider, Calculus and Its Applications, 9th Edition, Prentice-Hall"

However, amazon.com has an 11th edition of the book so I don't know if Math 16A uses only the 9th edition or if the Department of Mathematics homepage hasn't been updated for a couple of years.

I emailed the professor (Demmel) about two weeks ago, but he hasn't responded yet.

Does anyone know which textbook is used? Are they changing textbooks for Math 16A this year?

Efollett.com is listing the textbooks for Fall already, they are showing 11th edition. Check for yourself. You probably could contact the math department and ask them instead of the professor.

yeah, i have Lam and emailed him about the textbook, but he hasnt responded either. the funny thing is that it was actually my 2nd email to him. the 1st email was about all the sections being full and he replied to that one. dunno why the second email was missed/ignored... :X

whatd Lam say about the sections being full?
