I've never tried downloading apps to my calculator from online, but I've heard there are a few that prove to be really helpful or save a lot of time. For those with experience or insight, which apps are these, including those that do and don't come on the TI-84 Plus?

I never needed any apps for Calculus AB or BC (I used an NSpire). Many of the already-built-in functions can save a lot of time. Also, you can easily define a function, e.g. f(x): = x^9 + 2 if you want to crank out f(1), f(2), f(3), etc.

I would get TI-89 or TI-Nspire CX CAS.

Look for disk/shell method. And I’m sure there are more AP Calculus programs that are useful. That disk/shell program can earn you a free point or two on the AP test.
