Biology M-670 (took AP Bio and got an A in the class, as well as a 5 on the exam)
U.S. History- 640 (took AP U.S. History- A in class and 4 in exam)
Literature- 650
Chemistry-610 (took AP Chem- A in class, 4 on exam)

I want to retake any three of these subject tests and score in the 700+ range. Any ideas on which ones would be the easiest to score higher on and which review books would help my case?

Thanks!

Chem - barrons
US - use the apush amsco book

just remember that colleges will see all 7 scores

i know, but my AP scores still aren't going to make up for mediocore subject tests

then just take them over, atleast colleges will see that you tried to do better

Did you take the SAT II Bio before or after you took the AP because if you got a 5 on the AP, you should definitely be able to get 700+ on the SAT II.

I took it when I took my AP exam, except it was like a couple of weeks before, so I don't remember exactly, but I probably studied more for the AP exam afterwards, so the extra studying didn't benefit me when taking the subject test.

Bio- Cliff's AP review
Chem- Barron's
US History- AMSCO
Literature-Barron's

a Bio score in the 600s has a higher percentile than one in Chem

its a good idea to retake chem and studying for it is not overwheming

besides lit, the other two subject tests do require some time.
if ur not a senior, then its not a bad idea to retake them

Chem-Retake (barron's and PR)
Lit-up to you
US HIST-Retake?
BIO-Retake? (barrons is good)

I would retake Bio and US History for sure, because both are tests that are fairly straightforward to study for. My gut instinct says to leave Chem, since that's your lowest score and you don't need two science scores, but Lit is not very easy to prep for. Maybe you suck at math or something, but I would kind of suggest going that direction. It's a third subject, it's a common test, and it's straightforward to study for. Math II has a generous curve, too (but not a good idea if math is not your forte).

actually i don't suck at math (i'm taking ap calculus bc next year, last year i got a 4 on calc ab), just at the SAT math
