Hey guys
I'm currently a first year computer science and engineering major, and next quarter I plan on taking cs32, physics 1a, english comp3, and math 32a. I'm pretty stuck on which I should choose for my first pass. I heard that I shouldn't sign up for CS32 during my first pass, and spend it on another class in demand, since there are generally enough spots in CS32 for CS(E) majors, but then again, I heard good things about Nachenberg, and looks like there aren't as many spots open for his lecture. What other class should I use my first pass on too? I'm leaning towards physics/math. So which one should I choose between math32a and physics 1a? it looks like they have about the same number of spots. Which classes are harder to sign up for?

physics and english comp goes pretty fast… math generally have a lot of lectures so they are pretty easy to get into, cs32 might be hard/impossible to get nachenberg during 2nd pass… i say if you want nachenberg then cs32 and physics 1a?

i still would say physics, you don’t want to miss out on getting into a physics class since you need to take 1a so you can move onto 1b and 4al next quarter, if you don’t get into english comp 3 you can always take it next quarter or whenever you get in since its not a requirement for any of the engineering classes… again this is based on my memory that physics classes gets filled very fast 2 years ago and by my second pass all 3 lectures (180 each) were all filled…

so i already signed up for classes, but i can still change it around when my first comes by. should i enroll in polisci10 and drop my german 59 class? or are there chances that polisci10 will still have spaces left when my second pass comes around.?
