which type of loan, perkins or direct?

in my financial aid package, i have both Perkins loan and Subdized Direct loan.
which type of loan is better (regarding repayment, interest rate, etc.)?

Perkins is better. 5% interest rate, 9 month grace period after graduation (or dropping below half time), No origination fees.

Sub direct is the same as a Stafford (I think - it is at my Ds school anyway) so 6% interest rate, 6 month grace period, may (or may not depending on your school) have origination fees of 2-3% which means you do not get the full amount.

Both are good in that the government pays the interest until you graduate (or drop below required attendance) and that principal repayments are deferred until after the grace periods.
