Which UC is the best option for getting into a strong business school?

I recently got accepted as a transfer into Berkeley, Los Angeles, Davis, Irvine, and San Diego as an Economics major. I am interested in going to a top-tier business school (Harvard, Stanford, Penn, etc.) and was wondering which was the best way to achieve this goal. Is it better to go to Irvine or Davis, where I might be able to get a higher GPA, or go to UCLA or Berkeley, where a diploma carries more prestige? I am a 4.0 student through 2 years at CC and plan to continue to work hard, but I think a lower GPA at Berkeley or LA than the others may just be a given. In any case, does anyone here have any insights?

Cal by far. No question. Don’t listen to the BS anyone else tells you, because they have their own biases.

The most important thing for business school isn’t your gpa its work experience and letters of recommendation. The avg gpa for HBS is only around a 3.6. The most important thing will be your letters of recommendations and your work experience. Go to the school where you think you’ll be able to get the best work experience after graduating. This would probably be Berkeley or LA.

Most certainly Berkeley.

Take into account for studying the GMAT. Cal is the good choice but if UCLA is giving you Business Economics then go to UCLA.

probably berkeley, but if you’re not in Haas, i don’t see how UCLA would be much different…

someone say otherwise, if i’m totally wrong on that one.

Cal w/o a doubt i cant remember whether it was ranked number 5 or 7 in the nation for biz admin by businessweek

Actually 6th…

o wait ur an econ major…i juss read ur thing this time around lol…uhm i guess going to UCB or UCI woulnt be too bad an option if u know ull be able to pull good grades there, cuz ur GPA and wrk exp are the 2 biggest factors when u apply to grad school. btw what were ur “stats” other than ur 4.0 gpa

LOL thanks darkdream, i actually meant to say 6th or 7th

darkdream - the OP is an economics major. UCLA doesn’t have an ungdergraduate business program, it does have a graduates business program called Anderson School of Management. Like I said before, if UCLA is offering Business Economics take that over Economics at UC Berkeley.
