I have read a few people saying that they got full rides to UC Irvine, and I was wondering if people got full rides/killer financial aid at any other campus.

define killer, i got like $9,500 i have nothing to measure it up against. what is average?

UCSD gave me the most, $11k. UCSB gave me $5k and UCLA gave me $1800. I have no clue why there is such a huge difference, it’s pretty confusing and frustrating.

UCR by far

$11,000 is awesome. does any body know if what they offer is already given as the blue and gold plan?

if i get into sd myabe all my fees will be paid

Jane-I’ve been frantically trying to get info about the B&G plan with no luck. I have been reading everything that I can get my hands on and even spoke to someone at UCLA about it, but am still getting conflicting information. From what I have gathered so far, no one knows what the heck the B&G plan consists of, how it is awarded and whether or not it should be reflected on your provisional award. It didn’t mention it anywhere on any of my provisional award letters. In a nutshell, I have no idea.

Davis gave me 14k.

You guys are sooooooooo lucky…

I’m not eligible for financial aid :(

I should have applied to lower-tier UC’s.

UCI: $333
UCD: $481
UCSB: $4,355

rolls eyes

Yawn-I totally understand. UCLA is my dream school, but $1800? According to their calculations, I will have $44k worth of student loan debt after two years there and that’s not something I take lightly.

i have been trying to figure that b&g stuff too, all i got was the info at this website and it seems too cryptic. like it says that if we are eligible it would have already been included or something. i dont get it but i will def. find out when i go in person.

ucsd gave me 18K last year. Coupled with calgrant I’m up about $500 every quarter.

ucsb was the best though. They offered housing, tuition, and spending money. School would have been completely free. :D

Jane-to confuse you even further, check this out:

“If you are an entering student who meets these criteria and your ePAL does not
reflect sufficient scholarship and/or grant funding to cover your fees, rest assured that UCLA Financial Aid Office will
make the necessary revisions to your award before the start of Fall Quarter.”

lol!!! kc that one is trippy because they sound like they will almost guarantee that you have money to attend.
“our commitment to ensuring access to education for
admitted students”

i hope its true.

G-d, me too. It would be a horrible experience to enroll, start school and then realize that they can’t offer it to you. Dream school FAIL!

the best one for me was 15K… for davis.
and 14K for irvine (NOT including Cal Grant, which I applied for but will not be given to me until after Monday next week)

davis offered me 12,600
