Hello Everyone....

I've been accepted in the school of Computer Science Engineering at UCLA, UCSD and UC Davis. I am having trouble choosing between UCLA and UC Davis. UCLA has a great reputation, but UC Davis seems like it would provide a more enjoyable college experience for me. I live in Silicon Valley, California. Does anyone have ANY advice? Between these two schools, will there be a huge difference in getting a job?

Please try to be unbiased.

Easy. Go to Davis. If it seems like the more enjoyable college experience, then its the right one for you. As an undergrad you'll be studying the same things regardless of which of these 2 you go to; and since they're sister campuses even the course numbers would be the same!

As far as getting a job, a degree from either is not going to make the difference; what's going to matter is what courses you take, what grades you get, the internships you do, etc. A lot of people think that simply by choosing a higher ranked school they're improving their future job prospects. And yet a little thought tells you employers don't make an offer to every applicant from high-ranked schools. Your accomplishments in college are the main factor in how attractive you are to employers, not the name on the diploma.
