What are my chances of being accepted into any of them?
SAT/ACT scores, EC’s and essays are all part of the package. With your UC GPA only, your best chances are UCM/UCR and UCSC. These are by no means a guarantee. All the UC’s use the 14 areas of criteria to review your application, so outstanding essays and EC’s could make up for a lower than average GPA. I would make sure to include a few Cal States as possible safeties especially your local in-service Cal state, just in case and apply to the UC’s you want. If you look at the Decision threads from this year, applicants with 4.0+ and SAT scores of 2200+ were rejected/waitlisted, so no guarantees. If you post all you stats and intended major, CCer’s could give you some good suggestions.
Work hard to improve your activities, awards, and start a club. Be passionate outside of school, in some major area. Do not join a local math or chess or dance club. THat does not help. It has to have a major impact, and you have to be able to describe how this impacted you as a human being. Your scores need to improve in ACT and SAT. I agree above that with GPA alone, you should be able to get into UCR, UCI, or UC merced. Maybe Santa Cruz also. However, it also depends on your major. If it is a hard or impacted major, then it will harder.
