UCB: Yes
UCLA: Yes
UCSD: Yes
UCD: No
UCSB: No

Is this accurate?

I'm trying to recollect from memory but I know there's a matrix out there that explains it all if anybody would be kind enough to provide it?

UCB: Yes
UCLA: Yes
UCSD: No
UCD: No
UCSB: No
UCI: Yes
UCSC: No
UCR:No
UCM: Yes

I saved the UC Transfer Matrix on my desktop, so my answer is 100% accurate. :)

Actually yes, but internally no.

They will read your personal statement if u r on the border line of being accepted or rejected.

Always perform well on your essay in case something may happens. In another word, do well if u have low gpa. :)

Thank you joxygirl. That’s a lot of pressure off my mind now. I only applied to Cal, UCLA, Davis, UCSB, and UCSC. I have a 3.67 GPA and my Prompt 1 PS is pretty good but now that I reread the Prompt 2 PS, it’s pretty crappy. I also forgot a period at the very end of my Prompt 2 PS…

@Hayward1991

You’re welcome! What is your major?

UCB: Yes
UCLA: Yes
UCSD: No
UCD: No
UCSB: No
UCI: No
UCSC: No
UCR:No
UCM: No

I thought it was only UCB and UCLA?

@blackmamba2410

Nope, surprisingly in addition to Berkeley and LA, Irvine and Merced also read the personal statement.

I applied to Cal and UCLA as a history major, English at Davis, Global Studies at UCSB, and Politics at UCSC.

Is History under L&S at Cal? And under Social sciences?

I believe so, but I would rather go to UCLA. I don’t like how Cal uses the semester system.

My order of preference is: UCLA, UCD, Cal, UCSB, UCSC

Oh nice. Yea Cal is my first choice. . .I like the semester system. haha

Where did you people get your information?? You have got to be kidding me. You are all college students and you provide information without any cited sources?

Have you written a college essay yet? I’ve been nothing but disappointed in this board lately… It seems like people just say things without even thinking or having anything to back up their statements.

It’s sad, because I think this thread alone just screwed someone out of their own admissions…

http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/counselors/files/CC11_TransferMatrix_final.pdf

The information is on page 5.

Honestly, I don’t even know what your deal is. It’s not your concern what others are doing. If you’re disappointed in the board then leave. Just take your pretentious attitude somewhere else.

Hey man, I apologize for that! That’s all I wanted! Some concrete evidence! I’m man enough to admit when I am wrong, and here I am, admitting to you that I am wrong. Can you blame me though for asking for a little more clarification and not just trusting some random person on the internet?

Anyways, thank you for sharing that. I was not aware of that!

^thats reasonable.

CalBerks you are trolling wayyyy too much on College Confidential…

In able for him to respect us, we need to get on his level in every post that we posted, provide evidences, sources, make sense comments, and reasonable. In another word, nearly perfect is what he is looking for.

we can do that :)

I’m not trolling! I don’t get you people! I’m asking for logical things here!

Do your essays early and submit your application earlier than the due date!

Cite your sources of information!

That is considered trolling on College Confidential?? You have got to be kidding me…

Everyone: Don’t forget to use MLA format on your posts.

^That’s trolling. Don’t be a smart ass. I’m not asking for the sun and the moon.
