Which UCs offer good econ/bio/chem programs?

It looks like I’m going to be rejected by LA  so I’m wondering what UCs have good or excellent business econ or science departments. I’m still deciding on econ or science, but if there’s a UC that has both a good econ and science department I will be happy. Also, I heard that UCI and UCSD have terrible economics department…can anyone give me their experiences on this?

Undergraduate.Doesn't.Matter. If you're expecting to be rejected from LA (and I guess Cal), then I don't see much variation in the rest of them. UCSD seems like a more solid bet since its science is fairly strong.

At all of the UCs, science is pretty much the name of the game. You can't really go wrong with any of them.

Are UCI and UCR good for Bio Sciences?

SB has a pretty good econ program. All UCs are good in basic science, altho Merced....
