which UCs truly read Personal Statements?

Ive heard only UCB and UCI?

UCLA and UCM.

In the UC transfer matrix it states that UCB,UCLA,UCM, and UCI do take the personal statement into account.

So does this mean that the others won’t read them at all? I’ve heard this before on here and at first I was glad, but now that I have spent all this time and effort working on them I feel a little disappointed LOL.

Some UCs do look at the personal statement, but the only one I’ve heard of that seems to take a good long look at them and take them very seriously is UC Berkeley.

Yeah, do the other UCs disregard them completely?

@Alkalinium

The ones that don’t look at them pretty much disregard them completely. I think they’re only used to determine eligibility for scholarships at those UCs.
