I've been switching back and forth between 9/10 and stevenson/cowell as my top 4 (5th choice is 8). If you guys could help me out that would be great.

-Asian girl from a very left-wing SoCal college town (the music and art scene is definitely my thing)

-Majoring in Literature, I plan to participate on the CHP school newspaper, Circle K, KZSC if I can (I worked at the radio station at a college in my home town) I'm reaaaaally into music, so rest assured, I'm looking for people that will go to shows with me in the city and have similar music taste (alternative, folk, jazz, some electronic and what not) but I don't mind the mainstream stuff either. Note: I will suffocate if I'm surrounded with the pretentious hipster types OR super nerds OR home-bodies (I probably would want to go out to town a lot cause I'm a city type person, like shopping, restaurants etc.)

-I would prefer not to be engulfed in a 100% asian commune. I heard 9/10 are full of asians, and I'm okay with that but if it's the typical fobby asian type that listens to k-pop and reads anime, I'm probably not down (while I'm sure they are very nice people)

-I heard that Stevenson had a "jewish"/"athletic" stereotype, and that's cool but again, I would feel very uncomfortable if I was the only asian in my house or something, I'd feel pretty isolated even if the people were friendly. I love the stevenson view though, I'm afraid that I'll get sick of trees if I were in 9/10

-I care about the environment and social/cultural/global issues but am not a hippie, just really opinionated. I'm really into reading, fiction/short stories etc, philosophy (for fun), and am huuuuuge on writing, but like journalism not creative writing. The stevenson core course sounds cool but I'm not sure if I want to take up that much work, 9's course definitely sounds interesting to me.

Looking for a:

-friendly, chill atmosphere that isn't too clique-y

-moderate/occasional partying with an emphasis leaning a bit more towards academics, I want to go to grad school (NYU or Berkeley journalism) so I don't want to get carried away!

-Drinking: moderate/don't mind, drugs: I don't do them, but I don't mind them. Cigs and pot are fine with me, but anything extreme I would rather stay away from. I also don't think I would enjoy living in a place that wreaked of pot in every square inch!

Things I want to stay away from:

Hardcore drugs, extremist protester types, abercrombie/hollister/ugg-wearing preps, jock bros, hardcore hip hop/rap, the feeling of "high school all over again"

Sorry for the long post. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!!
