Hi! i'm a college freshman currently majoring in biochemistry and doing pre-med. but i've become very interested in the public health/disease prevention side of health care. I am thinking about about pursuing a career with the CDC or World Health Organization (I want to do public service work).

my school's college of public health only offers 2 majors: environmental health science and health promotion. The health promotion major is more of the teaching and policy side of public health, in which I'm not very interested. I am more interested in the scientific side (epidemiology, biostatistics, etc).

Should I consider switching my major to environmental health science? Also, is epidemiology part of the med school curriculum or is that more of an MPH thing?
