Which uni out of this limited list is good for business?

Hi there I am interested in Finance and Accounting and these are the colleges I applied to

University of maryland, College park
Suny Stony Brook
Indiana University Bloomington
Indiana Uni Purdue Uni
Baruch College

What school would be a great school to do my business degree at? I am definitely doing my MBA but i have to worry about this too. Anyone has any knowledge on these schools?

thank you so much in advance!

BTW. I am a transfer student from Canada and have a 3.3 GPA, I've bee meaing to transfer to IVies or priv uni' but most of them want SATs and such which i DO not have.(which is a disadvantage t me since i had to limit down my uni choices)

These are the few that would accept me based on my GPA and credits. If theres anymore Univs that are good and you have an opinion, I am gladly open to it! thanks!

EDITED: Since the post above me wont edit for some odd reason.

Coming from the Midwest I always hear such good things about Indiana-Bloomington. Even though the rest of the school isn’t that academically stellar, the business program is top notch!

Purdue also has a decent business program, but not as highly acclaimed as Indiana-Bloomington. After looking at your list again, 4 of the 5 (take out Stony Brook) have good business schools. Your best bets are Indiana-Bloomington and Maryland.

thank you jotajota.
Thats great info. I heard IUB
s kelley business school is great. Stony Brook apparently has a great brusiness program, but I am not too sure. Its actually my first choice IUB, and then Stony Brook.
are tate universities not that credible? Stony brook is tier 1 school and its top state univs, so i wonder why its not that good?

im really stuck here cause I don’t know which to pick for a good business school.

Go to Indiana. Stony Brook is excellent in many areas, but it’s Indiana when it comes to business.

Nefer thank you! i have to resort my list of schools.

Is IUPUI good too? I know when i got admitted i go into Kelley Business school. IUPUI is apparently a tier 4 school. so im worried. im just waiting for IUB.

Wait till you get all your acceptances before worrying about where to go.
I’d go roughly in this order:
Indiana
Maryland
Baruch/Stony Brook
IUPUI

**Indiana. This isn’t even a discussion. Clear cut.

Just my .02**

thank you never and radron omega!

xD just wondering if IUPUI part of the INDIANA group?

i know IUB is top notch but IUPUI? just need the low down on that cause i got accepted to IUPUI already with a scholarship.

IUPUI isn’t as good as IU-B but I will also mention that it is the only other IU campus that offers degrees through the Kelley School of Business. All the other campuses have there own business colleges within them.

As an Indiana resident, IUPUI is normally a safety if you can’t get into IU-B. IU-B campus is nicer. Alot of IUPUI students commute, because they don’t have many dorms. But overall its an IU degree.

If you have any questions, about either IU-B or IUPUI you pm me.

Where do you want to work when you graduate? Most of the schools on your list, mostly place grads in jobs regionally, so considering future career and location is key.

thank you pigeonriver you’re much help! and Pmed you!

Hmom5, i can work anywhere. Im flexible and open to whatever the world has to give me.
Location is key definitely. i just need opinions on these schools if they’re great for business or anything. i would like to work in the city essentially in NY of some sorts because i want to do my MBA too after im done.
