i know it wouldn’t effect my admission lol. but i understand you guys the whole admission process and plus these more info books and what not make the the whole process exciting to a whole new lvl :)

Exciting? Haha, I wish it were exciting! I don’t know about the rest of you but I just want to get done with it asap.
If you don’t mind me asking, where are applying besides Harvard? Anywhere early?

columbia mit harvard princeton !
but i am 84 % avg. not that graeat with amazing extracurriculars i would say so . sat = 1700 but bumping it to 2000 or 2100 :)

I’m most likely going to apply Columbia ED, then the typical schools with generous finaid for regular.

^^ engineering ?

might ED @ D.

Trying to decide between Penn and Columbia for ED.

^ Please do Columbia ED!!! Because I’m doing Penn ED =P

No I’m looking at Columbia College. What about PtonDreams?

And mathematicism … Wharton? :)

^^ lol one more person isn’t going to make a difference to you

@ StarsAligned: I am looking at the College too. There’s a new major there that seems really interesting.

I really want to apply ED/EA to Columbia or Yale, but I’m afraid that my SAT scores wont be up to par by then. Plus, I read on their websites that they are expecting ED/EA applicants to be sending in applications by early october (way before november 1), so I will definitely not be ready :(

^ Are you sure about the October deadlines for ED?

If they are “expecting”…I think you don’t have to.
For me though, I doubt I can get good recs in time for ED deadline -sigh- I’ve never had a teacher twice (except for music)…

I havent either. I just greet each teacher everyday
and I am known throughout the school as a good student
so teachers should give good recs for me :)

^ lol I greet them too, but only for certain teachers, and the counselor (though not from any external motives), depending on their personality and whether they say hello back… some ignore me (though probably not on purpose =.="). But lately I haven’t; it’s too depressing to waste my breath if they don’t even hear me or ignore me on purpose.

Luckily my school is pretty small so I will have teachers for 2 or 3 years in a row :]

^^ i hear you! Gah. we won’t be too concerned with all this only and only if we were americans!!!

so much more easier for them to get in .

Anyone know if it matters how early you apply ED? If you apply in mid-Oct. is there an advantage over November deadline? I’m taking November SAT IIs, so I can send everything but my SAT II scores in by mid-late October. However, I don’t know if there is an advantage because I am pretty sure they will keep my app. on hold until they receive my Nov. SAT II scores…

^^ why novemebr sats ?

from what i have read october is the last month for act and sats to be done if applying ED ?

On the websites I think they said November testings can also be accepted for ED…o.o
