Which university should I chose, I need your help!

OK, I'm a senior in high school from Maine. I will major in Biological studies, AKA premed, at the university I decide to go to. I plan to go to medical school after I finish Undergrad. I have a EFC of $24,000 but the can only give me $17,000 so I need to chose a college that is cheap and Good Deal.

I've been accepted to:
University of Alabama
Clemson University
Florida State University

Pros & cons:
University of Alabama
Pros- Best value out of all schools I got into. Scholarships given so I wouldn't have to take out any loans. Love atmosphere down there as well as sports. Alabama is #1 for football.
Cons- I don't know how respectable their science department is. Academics is a question.

Clemson University- Science department very good. Sports great also. So is campus lifestyle. I can see myself living there and its a very nice place.
Cons- Price tag. I would have to take $5000-$7000 in loans a year to go there. I want to go to graduate school with no loans.

Florida State-
Pros-Every thing I need. Great science department, great weather, great sports, great people.
cons- I would have to take out loans, $3000-$5000 a year to go there.

Tell me what you think

any help? :(

it sounds to me like you enjoy the UofAlabhama more than the other two. I mean, in the end, it's really about where you can enjoy 4 years of your life since pre-med is going to suck the fun out of some days here and there. Also, the difference between these three schools is negligible, so I suggest you go to a school where you can excel and have fun. Maybe you should ask around about the research/internship availabilities at either of these schools?

From my standpoint, UofA looks like the best deal for you! good luck!

Clemson is definately better than UA but since there's no point being in debt when you can avoid it, UA. Get involved in a science club if you still need a full academic experience.

Up for the night.

Here's how I would rank your choices:

Clemson University (academics first, also Clemson is just as fun as Alabama, it's worth the cost)

Florida State

Alabama

I'd definitely say Clemson. Though it's a party school, it's pretty much the only one that has a good academic reputation (not that the others don't have some good programs, but Clemson definitely is more reputable). And the sports will be just as big, trust me.

After Clemson, I'd say Florida State. Idk, Alabama just rubs some people the wrong way, especially in other parts of the country. I'd tend to think that potential employers might see it more as a frat/party school...whether it deserves that reputation or not.

Anyway, just my opinion. Good luck!

I did the math
Amount of Debt per year at each school:
Clemson $11282 per year
FSU $7561 per year
Alabama $2079 per year
Keep in mind I haven't received any financial aid awards yet, but this is how much aid I need break even for a year.

...get a job! ;)

Did you qualify for Honors at Florida State?

Auburn University, also in Alabama, is much stronger in the science field than Alabama.
