Which UT Austin Residence Hall should I choose?

Recently, I was admitted to the University of Texas, at Austin. I’ve been looking at residence halls for the past few days, and I’ve narrowed down my search to Brackenridge, Roberts, Prather, Moore Hill, Whitis Court, and San Jac. I’m looking for a nice, studious dorm where I can do well in school, yet I’m also looking for an area where the community is nice and vibrant. I want to get to know my neighbors and at least make some really good friends within my residence hall. I’ve heard good things about the Moore Hill and Whitis Court residence halls in relation to that request. I’ve heard good things about BRP in the sense that they have nice rooms, and that the old-timey feel is present, not as a detractor but as a plus. San Jac I’ve heard is nice, but it’s expensive and I don’t have that much vested interest when it comes to that hall. As far as Whitis Court goes, I’ve heard good things, but it’s on North Campus, and I’m aiming more so for living on South Campus. What are you all’s personal opinions? Feel free to share advice and personal experiences. Thank you!

I toured San Jacinto and it seemed alright to me. It is near the stadium and the dorm rooms are kind of small. But I’m pretty sure it is the same way for all the dorms. It would be good socially but I don’t know if it’s good in relation to studies. I’m thinking of persuing the Honors Quad. Have you thought of the Honors Quad?

I’ve thought about the Honors Quad, but it is quite a good distance away from most of the South Campus life.
