<p>Dark Knight - Direct Hits Vocabulary has 365 words. There were 13 hits on the June SAT. The hits were: REMUNERATE, OBSTINATE, ICONOCLAST, OBSTREPEROUS, UNDAUNTED, VITRIOLIC, MOCK, PARADOX, SKEPTICAL, PRAGMATIC, COHERENT, ENIGMATIC and PAINSTAKING. My CR score is going UP!</p>

<p>Ryan123 check out the thread “All of the CR 2008 June Answers.” It contains a nearly complete list of the Critical Reading answers. Iron-lady’s list is accurate. Did your test have 9 sections? If so you may have had an extended time test. That may explain why your test was different.</p>

<p>Based upon CCFanatic’s agreed upon list, there were 21 key Level 3 - 5 vocabulary words on the June 08 SAT. Just reviewed Kaplan’s Score-Raising Dictionary. The book contains 1,000 alphabetically arranged words 11 of which were hits. The Kaplan hits were exacerbate, remunerate, obstinate, obstreperous, parity, skepticism, pragmatic, coherent, enigmatic, paradox and mock. So far the best vocab lists/books have been PR’s Hit Parade (7 Hits out of 253 words) and Direct Hits Vocabulary (13 hits out of 365 words).</p>

<p>Did you consider Sparknotes? There is this other list with over 1000 words but it’s hard to look through to find words, I found it helpful though, it got me 18/19 correct. Not necessarily all 18 came from it, but it helped. The one I got wrong was a reasoning error, not a vocab error.

<p>RahoulVA - yes, I would like to get a copy of the Sparknotes list. Where can I find it? Is it in a specific book (ie the PR Hit Parade is in Cracking the SAT) or is it a separate book. Please let me know.</p>

The direct hits were: ameliorate, exacerbate, obstinate, obstreperous, iconoclast, nuance, vitriolic, pragmatic, coherent, enigmatic and paradox.</p>

<p>Littlebell, thx for the suggestion. My buddy took the Testmasters course. The Vocabulary list he gave me has 254 alphabetically arranged words beginning with acclimate and ending with zealous. The Testmasters list had just 3 hits - NUANCE, SYNTHESIZE, and PRAGMATIC. That’s it. Something to think about.</p>

<p>So how did Rocket Review perform on the June 08 SAT? The Rocket Review has 323 “power-ranked” vocabulary words. Just words and definitions - no examples. The Rocket Review generated the following 8 hits: exacerbate, obstinate, undaunting, pragmatic, coherent, enigmatic, painstaking, and mock. It is interesting to note that the Rocket Review did well on the Level 3 words but completely missed the Level 4 and 5 words - ie ABSTEMIOUS, OBSTREPEROUS, ICONOCLAST, NUANCE, PARITY and VITRIOLIC.</p>
