Which would be better, raising Cr or W?

My SAT scores from my last SAT date are as follows:

CR 570
M 610
W 670 (8)

Now I've registered for the Nov SAT date, and I had been studying only M and Cr, because I was comfortable with my W score. However, I have 4weeks remaining and my Cr doesn't seem to be improving.

I know I can write a better essay for my W and get a better score but, isn't the Writing score less important. I mean some schools don't even consider it.

So I'm asking your opinion. Should I forgo my CR and focus on W and M or power through and continue with CR and M

Focus on both. But at this point, I’d say CR, since there’s more room for improvement there.

Generally, you can raise your writing score faster than your reading score…
Well, it depends on how much you have read, etc…
But, reading is more important that writing… (some schools “do not” count writing)

W is easier to raise, but CR is weighted far more heavily by most schools (and some schools ignore W altogether).

Zut! just as I thought. Ah well i’ll keep at my CR practice, but i’ll soon start reviewing Writing.

Focus mostly on reading and math. It would be great if you could increase all of them, but reading and math are weighted more heavily. Someone from our school got into Duke (although it was mostly for sports) with 700 on the Math and CR and a 570 Writing. I had a similar dilemma with the CR, so I hope I increased my score with the October test. Good luck!

Just continue to work on CR, your writing is fine don’t worry about that. With lots of practice, I went from 560 to 670 CR. Math…well that should just come to you but I guess you could do better, if you want to.
