Hi I am a rising senior and I'm assuming I'll only have one more shot at the SATs or SAT subject tests before applying EA/ED somewhere. Anyway if I wanted to get into a top school which would I be better off retaking?

SAT: 2240 single sitting (770CR/750M/720W)
2250 superscore (730W)

SAT Subject Tests: Math 2- 760
Chem- 770
Physics- 760

Subject tests are looking fine. Subject tests are generally better of for top schools (maybe not ivy), when 760+ as mentioned in numerous “Chance Me” threads.

If you’re set on retaking any of them, then I would probably say the SAT. I think you could boost your CR to perfect with enough practice & vocab review.

I would not recommend retaking the SAT since considering your CR+M 1520, it is good enough since most schools only consider CR+M while the others do consider W but do not weigh it as much as CR+M.
I think you should retake the subject tests. Try to bring your Math 2 to 800 and take 1 more subject test. Having 4 subject tests would make you look super competitive!

@phongtheha I thought you only send two subject tests for most colleges and a third was only required for princeton harvard and georgetown. What good would a fourth subject test do for me?

Yes most only required you to take 2. But i mean, if you can take more than that, then definitely it will be better

You wanna retake those scores?

What’s wrong with you?

Yours,

@phongtheha would colleges look at it favorably if you sent more sat 2 scores? I feel like they’d only consider the top 2 anyway

No, they will consider all. You should check the colleges’ websites, though

Btw, 3 tests are actually enough though. What I’m trying to say is, if you can take another test, then it is good. But if you are tired of them, then 3 is probably fine. My friend got into Cornell with a 2250 SAT and 4 subject tests: 800 Math II, 790 Physics, 800 2 Bios

I think ALL your scores are fine, and there really is no need to retake any of them. (If you wanted to though, I suppose the SAT, but why would you do that?) At this stage, it is the other aspects of your application that will matter much more than the test scores

Alright, thanks guys!
