<p>What I do think is sad is a white guy wanting to get married to an Asian woman because they are known to be more 'submissive.' It's really superficial, but think about it - he's a history grad from UCLA, so is pretty well educated....</p>

<p>I'm half white and half chinese. My dad is the asian one, my mom is white. They've been married for over 20 years. There you go - asian guy, white girl relationship working out. I, myself am Hapa. I've usually dated white guys. Don't know why. I'm from Hawaii. There are definitely a lot of mixed kids here. Mixed kids can be really pretty, or really quite the opposite. It isn't very common that mixed kids are just "so-so" looking. At least, that's what I've seen and trust me there are a LOT of mixed kids here. It's also not very common to meet someone of our generation who is full Irish, or Japanese, or something or other in Hawaii. It's quite diverse on the whole.</p>
